1. There can be times when you can't control certain things, but it depends on how lucid you are.
2. Nope.

4. Definitely, for me anyway.
5. Pinching your nose and trying to breathe. Counting the fingers on your hands. Looking at a clock twice to see if the time has changed.

Yep. Happens a lot.

Not at all. You may loose lucidity at any moment, which will make you accept the dream reality until you become lucid again or wake up.

3. How short/long can they be?
It really depends.

4. Once you have a lucid dream, is it easier to have more?
It is easier yes, but that doesn't mean sometimes you don't manage to

5. What is the top 3 best reality checks for you?
Looking at the clock, observing your hands and fingers and trying to see if you can pierce solid objects with your body (didn't have the opportunity to test the nose pinch one...)

As they have said, yes of course.

It can be sometimes. You may lose your grasp on the dream, but practice makes perfect.

3. How short/long can they be?
5 seconds to hours, and some studies on here are trying for years. Doubt it, but whatever research is done helps us better understand.

4. Once you have a lucid dream, is it easier to have more?
Usually.
5. What is the top 3 best reality checks for you?
Pinch nose and breath(always works for me), reading something(if the words move around, your in a dream), Finger through hand.
