      Lightbulb Which method? Help!

Well, I started trying to lucid dream a while ago, but I'm stuck with what method if induction to use. Last night, I was telling my brother about Lucid dreaming. Guess what? HE had a Lucid dream and I didn't! Just from me telling him about it!

Anysway, I want to know what works for everybody else! Exactly what you do, if it works of course.

      Thanks in advance!

I had a lucid dream the first time i heard about it too, but then not again for a while. You just need to put lucid dreaming on your mind, and do lots of reality checks, this is how I used to do it. Check out the reality check and DILD tutorials. I used to couple WBTB with DILD, and it worked like a charm. I would definitely try that.

If you have specific questions, feel free to post, or ask a dream guide (staff member with green names like mine)

Well I've found out I don't need to really use the methods! So far I've had 2 Lucid dreams where I just randomly said "Hey, I'm dreaming!" Or something like that! It's normally in dreams where not much is happening, and/or I'm bored in the dream.

      Hello,

The best technique that works best for me to induce lucid dreams is a sort of WILD

Basically you stay conscious while your body falls asleep, you enter sleep paralysis, then straight into a dream. All without a lapse in consciousness which is pretty neat.

Anyway here's how I do it,

I lay in bed and when I start to feel tired, I focus on my breathing. The whole point of this technique is to stay aware of your body and not to drift off observing the thoughts that your brain spits out in this state. I say to myself "Mind awake, body asleep" over and over until it becomes a sort of white noise. Its almost like my brain takes over the phrase and puts it on a loop without me having to even think it.

After a while I become really relaxed, and feel a rush of heaviness come over my body. Soon I start to feel really heavy. With that phrase repeating over and over I'm still concentrating on my body. Then I enter sleep paralysis. Sometimes it can be freaky because of the weird things you hear, and the hypnagogic imagery. But its easy to move past it. "Mind awake, Body asleep"

Shortly after I am in a dream. I reality check a couple of different ways to make sure, and rub my hands together for stabilization.

Hopefully this helps. There are many other ways to induce lucid dreams, this is just one of my favorites. If you wanna chat more about this let me know =)

      Happy Dreaming

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

My brain is strange. When I'm dreaming, I sort of know I'm dreaming (Because I know that I can quit it!) but I don't really do anything about it. All it takes is to think about where I am and not just go along with it and then, wow! Lucid dream. Unfortunately when I become Lucid I normally forget to do the things I want to, but do things related to the dream. Like how where there was an evil giant serpent, I created a sword.

Yeah that happens to me. But I just need to practice and keep making my vividness and recall better so... yeah.

They've been getting better though. I had a chain of lucids the other day and they weren't totally clear and I wasn't thinking straight, but hey.

I have frequently have LD's during school because im day dreaming so much in classes, the day dreams can drop me so far from reality im almost playing it in my mind and i cant hear anything else except whats happening in the day dream, so my advice is day dream as much as possible.

I have a question about WBTB. How long do I sleep before my alarm wakes me up? Is it 5 hours, then I do an hour of meditation of WILD?
