      Still can't recall dreams?

Well, last night, I started using a dream journal and wrote my first entry. Hoping that after I wake up, I can write some more, but nothing. I even tried to stay still and think about what could it have been that I was dreaming about, but I ended up drifting back to sleep. Then my mind produced me a very short dream, and the weirdest part was that I had nails coming out of my sneakers and I had to push them back. But nothing reminded me that it could have been a dream. It was also very unreal.

I'm not an expert, just wanted to let you know before you read ^^

I don't quite understand what your meaning.... but if your having troubles recalling your dreams that's pretty normal (i think) it takes practice and skill to do, I don't keep a dream journal... which may or may not be a good thing, but i can recall 2 dreams at least a night (last night i recalled 3 and part of a 4th) with NO dream journal at all... i think it just depends on the person? Practice some more and i'm positive you will recall your dreams eventually!

      GOOD LUCK, and keep trying

Hey, it's you. Met you in the chat a few minutes ago XD

In any case, I had the same problem. But today, I remembered 2 longish dreams. Just repeat to yourself before bed, "I will remember my dreams" for a good 10 minutes. Then in the morning, move as LITTLE as possible. Just reach for your DJ (I keep mine under my pillow) and go nuts. Try to keep your eyes half closed.

      Hope I helped.

Should I repeat it by whispering or in my mind?

Kind of both. Think it and say it.

When you are going to go to sleep.. Simply keep saying "I will remember my dreams, I will know when I am dreaming" in your head until you doze off to sleep. When you wake up, if you remember ANYTHING, even simply "I had nails coming out of my sneakers and I had to push them back" write it down!! It doesn't matter how big or how small the memory or dream is, you HAVE to write it down. When you are writing it down, use as much detail as possible. Explain the color of the shoes, how long were the nails, did it hurt you?, what were you thinking?, was it daylight outside?, etc, etc...

It also helps if right when you wake up, just lay there perfectly still for about 2min. Dont think about your body, your room, etc. Only think about your dream. Play the dream over in your head a few times... THEN get up and write it in your journal.

try to keep repeating the mantra in your head or out loud, maybe both, before you go to sleep. and when you wake up. make sure you can remember at least 1 or 2 good things before you let yourself get out of bed and try to record it in your journal... (i use the DJ system on here)
I wander through the woods listening to the sound of nature. The sky turns red and opens before me. I realize that I must be dreaming... My adventure has just begun.

That method works as-well, but you have to believe what you are saying will happen. Dont just make them words, word have faith and trust in what you are saying. Make it happen.
