Question I cant recall my dreams.

It was easy to me. Some time ago, I was trying OBEs and I had some success but now it is very dificult to me.

I'm new here. I use go to the bed and tell to myself to record my dreams but I never wake up during the night and in the morning I try to recall the dream but it is very dificult and I recall just some parts.

Some time ago, when I started to do this, it was easier. In my first attempt I had success. In the first week I remembered two dreams in sequence. I knew when the first dream ends and the second began. They was like one dream.

      But I lost this skill.

What can I do to remember my dreams?

Do you have a dream journal? What I do when my recall is wonky is read previous entries in my dream journal, visualizing the dream again, which helps me remember dreams.

Also reading about lucid dreaming, reading other people's DJ can influence the thought of remembering your dreams again.

My best way for recall is right when I wake up, even if I only remember a flash of the dream I clear my mind and think only about remembering the dream. I will also go through the details of the short seconds I remember and usually I can piece together a few seconds before and after that moment. Then I will try to write some in my journal and a lot of times once I start writing it all just comes back to me as I write.

      Hope this helps. =]

Before attempting lucid dreaming, I used to remember at least a dream every other night. I ended up remembering most of my dreams. I never wrote them down. Now I have a dream journal, and since starting it most of my entries have been blank, because I haven't been able to remember any. That, and I wake up with my cat meowing at me incessantly, so whatever I'm thinking about is washed away from the habit to feed my cat...

If you haven't, try making a dream journal. When you wake up, stay still and close your eyes and think about anything you can remember about the dream-- a picture, a word, a character, object, scene.. and write that down.
I had an instant when I couldn't remember anything, then I went online and saw a certain word and it triggered the rest of my dream to come back. xD

That happens very frequently to me.
Some people also say that it works to cycle through people and places that you are familiar with, and that might trigger your dream recall because that certain person or place occurs in your dream.

I've no better recall than you although I've had 2 lucid dreams.
I've never recalled 4 dreams in one night
Either my dream call is not good enough to LD, or you have set your target too high

Definitely, yes Al though once I've had a LD which I didn't recall (only one single thing by which I knew I had a LD) but that's not really a big issue right?

When I'm struggling with recall, there's a few questions I ask myself.

How am I feeling? Am I sad? Happy? Longing (like I had a romance dream?)? Usually if I can pin point a feeling, I can start asking another list of questions.

Lets say I woke up feeling sad. I run some possible scenarios in my head.

Did a family member die? Did a pet die? Did I dream about someone who has passed on? Did my boyfriend break up with me?

      And so on

Keeping a dream journal ultimately helps in those times where I'm struggling with recall. I have a good idea of themes that have occurred in the past or seem to be popping up lately. If I'm having troubles starting from how I'm feeling, sometimes I'll run through a list of dream signs; asking myself if something popped up.

As it is, I try to set aside 15 minutes every morning, waking up early and recalling my dream. If I don't have time to write it down, I write notes on the pad beside my bed, but also I make sure that what I recalled is set in stone in my memory. I run through it a few times in my head, make sure I can remember it without struggling, then I move.

Movement is very integral for dream recall. The point is to do as little as possible when you wake up. If you wake up naturally, try not to move at all until you've got as much of your dream recalled as you can. If you wake up to an alarm across the room, set another 15 minutes earlier beside your bed so you can smack it off without much movement. Try not to fall back to sleep

      Hope this helps!

Well, the idea is that if you had an LD and you can't recall your dreams well, you can't remember it. Personally, I try to improve my recall AND practice LDing. How? Using DILD, so, RCing during the day(first lucid I had was me becoming lucid just like that within one week of starting) and trying to WILD within 5-6hr of falling asleep. What you can do if you become lucid is end the dream and wake up BEFORE it ends so that you can remember it and write it down. Good luck

@bcarneiro Keeping a dream journal and if you can, wake up at 4.5hr, 6hr and 7.5hr after falling asleep since you will awake from REM and should remember some dreams, then write then down before falling back asleep

      Thank you people

In fact, Im having troubles in to take 15 minutes in the bed. I had a baby last year and he is crying every morning. , I usualy wake up with my baby's cry.

Sometimes, I wake up by myself and I can try to recall my dream, I always do this, but generaly I remember just some parts and the parts are not enough to build a history, so I usualy dont write my dream, but I used to write my dreams in the beginning when it was easy to me.

Maybe, the only way to me is to be patient or sleep in another room.
