Thread: Lets do this!!

Hello everyone, if it isn't already obvious I am new to this site.
I have been aware of lucid dreaming for a while now but haven't been motivated enough to actually try.
Reading a lot of other people's experiences on this site has really given me the motivation I needed and now I'm ready to give this a go.

My dream journal is already filled with 4 weeks worth of dreams and I've noticed some reoccuring signs. Now I just need to remember to do those RCs...

You're ahead of the game already, since you've been keeping a dream journal and have recognized dream signs. It might be good to note that dream signs do nothing if you're not questioning reality constantly, because if you're not aware enough, you'll just ignore them. Good luck. (:

You have to question whether you're really awake at any given time, or dreaming. When you dream, you go about things as if you're awake, without realizing you're dreaming, so it's important to question if you might be dreaming (such as right now). Performing reality checks doesn't get you lucid, it's a burst of sudden awareness 99% of the time.
