Along with doing an actual reality check (nose-plug, finger-through-palm, etc), it helps to observe everything around you. Looking for anything unusual or strange, and basically just increasing your awareness levels for that particular moment, can help. When you're dreaming, you're not usually aware enough to catch on that you're dreaming, so you have to work on awareness in real life. That way it'll transfer to your dreams. The trick's not to do mindless RCs. |
