      False awakening/first LD

      I don't remember a whole lot, but I think it's enough.
After texting a friend til' 3:30am, I started drifting in-between texts.
I would practice saying 'it's a dream' in my head over and over, while I'm in N1 (or something like that), until I get another text to wake me up.
Finally deciding to go to sleep, I did the same thing, fell alseep, yet realized I was dreaming. The first thing I remember is trying telekineses. I was able to move normal objects, but not every time. The next thing I remember was a false awakening, and then actually waking up.

It's been quite a while since I actually tried Lucid Dreaming, and have never kept a journal.

EDIT: I would describe this as WILD

Saw your post count... Welcome to DV, ..

      Congratulations on your first LD..

Well if you went from waking to dreaming with no lapse in consciousness (I.E. You were aware the whole time) then you had a WILD.. Which a pretty nice accomplishment for your first...

I noticed you didn't describe it that elaborately.. If you want to improve your Dream Recall (What's the use of having an LD if you can't remember it right) then you should probably keep a DJ even for your normal dreams.. You'll notice the difference pretty rapidly, and it'll help you have more vivid LDs...

WILDs don't normally happen the first time your going to sleep.. It's normally done after 3-5 hours of sleep (Depending on the person), because at that time your at your REM period..

But if sleeping at 3.30am works for you, then try WILDing again...
