      Hey guys

Im Jer, a 26 year old guy that bounces back between the midwest and the west coast. I have been big on dreams for a long time. Through most of my life I have been able to remember a lot of dreams. However, ever since I started trying to interrupt my dreams a number of years ago, I have seen that I can consistently remember more dreams. Either way, Id say that 95% of my dreams are very vivid, so much so that when I wake up I can picture them as if they actually happened. I know this partly leads into Lucid dreams. The thing is, I have been under the impression that for a long time I have been having lucid dreams, but have not taken control of them.

While it would be cool to take control, I have no intentions of doing so. When I was younger I had some sleepwalking issues. From studies that I have read in the past, lucid dreaming increases your chances of sleepwalking and disorientation when waking up.

I have a lot to say as well as a lot of dreams I want outsider opinions on. Therefore, I apologize if you see a lot of new threads pop up from me in the next day or two.

      Hi Jer, welcome to Dreamviews!

Studies you've read about the connection between sleepwalking and lucid dreaming are, and I'm sure of this, completely false. I've controlled many, many dreams, and without even setting a toe off my bed. Lucid dreams also don't create disorientation problems. After all, it's just: "I'm lucid! Oh, the dream's ending now..." Then you wake up, and you know you're back in bed.

Lucid dreaming isn't connected to any sleep health problems, including night terrors, sleep walking, increased sleep paralysis episodes...
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
