      WILD question

Hello there, just joined after a couple week's deliberation.

My one and only LD was a DILD, so Im trying to do this again. Ive read that WILDs are easier to attain, considering the elusive state of DILDs, but I have a concern.

I am in probably my most important year of schooling, and I feel that I should have enough sleep (unlike my friends ¬¬), and I was concerned about the practicalities of WILDs. I have been interested in the topic of LDs for quite some time, so I would like to have another one. Ive started a dream diary and Im beginning to use the Awake symbol, but I need practice.

Should I attempt WILDs, or should I wait for a while?

WILDs are easier to attain? No. Unless you are a natural, you will probably have much more trouble with them. Its true DILDs require luck to attain, but WILDs require a shitload of mental discipline, which most people (including myself) dont have.

      Hi, welcome to Dreamviews!

I'd say go for it, but DILDs can be just as reliable as WILDs if you're experienced with inducing them. If you practice awareness and questioning reality daily, there's no reason why you couldn't have one every night. I've gotten pretty good at this since my WILD dryspell started almost half a year ago (and is still active).

some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Thanks for the feedback guys!

By easier to attain, I meant that once youve got into the regime, the WILDs are pretty reliable.

I started wearing the A for Awake thing on my hand yesterday evening, and today I had to explain to my friends with what it was for.

      Thanks again!

Yeah, once you get the hang of WILDing it is pretty reliable. Good luck.

For me WILD's are easier even though havent had Lucid dream yet. I seem to be closer when I do a wild instead of a DILD. My opinion DILD are hard I don't know how any you do it must have GREAT memory huh.

My main concern is, due to this being an important year in my life, would it be worth disrupting my normal sleep pattern?

Well it tends to disrupt your pattern. So just to be safe go for the DILD.

If you wake up naturally in the middle of the night, you could always just try WILDing without getting out of bed. Usually when I do that, I end up falling asleep, but it's worth a shot. That shouldn't disturb your sleep schedule too much.
