how i got my first to lucid dreams( long time lurker)

So after having a spell sleep paralysis i started to research the subject online, and eventually found my way to this forum. I am very glad i did and it has helped me get lucid dreams. I keep a dream journal obv. I listen to binary beats b4 i go to bed and i set my alarm for 6 hours after i go to sleep. when the alarm wakes me up i put the headphones in and go back to bed listening to the binary beats. It has worked very good so far, but my lucid dreams have only been about 5 min in length need some help with that

      Binary beats or 'binaural beats'?
Could the asker elaborate this please?
LDs with 5 minutes length is a good achievement for a beginner.
To fulfill your Sleep, you have to Dream,
To fulfill your Dreams, you have to Wake up.

binaural beats, my bad. forgot to mention that i do reality checks throughout the day (10+)and id say those , seem to be more important for me. It was funny cause in my first lucid i was running around a mall naked with just a towel and didnt think it was weird , but then i saw an old classmate from about 2 years ago and that was when i was like wtf did a reality check and realized i was dreaming .

      Hey duder

How do you select yout RCs? Do you try them randomly, get them from here? I can never seem to remember to attempt them until its the end of the day and back in bed again.

Well I have something that works for me so you should try it out (although everyones different) next time you're in a lucid dream he first thin you want to do is dtabalize and clarify. Rub your hands together, spin around but what works best for me is yelling "stabalize dream. Give me clarity" just say that in an assertive voice and what happens to me when I do that my dream becomes so clear and vivid I have to reality check - anyway you should try some verbal commands like that but don't get to excited or it will wake you up so try to stay calm

You can buy CDs mp3 files or apps for the iPod.I have some for my iPod touch they are things that help target certain brainwaves for whatever- lucid dreaming too. I have two apps for the iPod that are good and they were only a dollar and the oher was two bucks and they are great
