Hi Pipedream, welcome to Dreamviews!
You've actually already had a few lucids; it doesn't matter how long they are, they still count.
As for the DEILDing...
For me, DEILDing is easier when I wake up from a lucid dream, so I don't have to catch myself when I wake up like I do after a normal dream. After all, in a lucid, I know when I'm going to wake up because I can see and feel the dream ending. To get into the habit of staying still after you wake up, stop yourself as soon as you can and relax. Even if you move around a lot at first before catching yourself, it'll eventually become less and less. You'll learn to stay still after each waking period.
Another DEILDing tip: If you keep your mind in the dream and continue to imagine touch, sight, smell, and other sensations from it, it helps trick your brain into thinking you're still asleep and dreaming. It works great for me.
