      Exclamation Problem with dream recalling!

Hi there dreamviews. Recently I became very interested in lucid dreaming and I decided to try it. I have started a DJ about 3 days ago, but I am having trouble on recalling the dreams...on the first day, I couldn't remember the dream when I woke up no matter how hard I tryed, but after some minutes I randomly remembered it and wrote it down.Second day I couldn't rember it at allz so I fell asleep and had another dream wich I wrpte down. Today I woke up and couldn't remember it and I still don't. I see people saying they remember 3 or 5 dreams! Is this normal? Will I get better as I write down more dreams? Thanks.

Yes, you will get better. Like any skill, it just takes practice to develop. You are already on the right track. You will see progress after a week and even more after two weeks. You don't need any natural gifts or talents. Everyone dreams and everyone can learn to recall them.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Don't expect to start remembering 5 dreams each night when you just started developing recall. Lucid dreaming takes time as anything else, you'll just recall this better if you keep exercising it.

      Cookino, try these steps.

      1. Get a dream journal (looks like you already have one)

      2. A jotting pad and pencil by your bed (for putting down dreams in rough as you awake). Some use a voice recorder.

      3. Go to bed early enough. Don't drink caffeine or alcohol etc before bed time.

      4. Setup dream recall.
Set your mind to awaken from dreams and recall them. As you drift off to sleep, tell yourself something like..."I will awaken fully from my dreams, and recall my dreams". Visualize yourself awaking from a dream and jotting down what you experienced in your dream. Do this over and over until it's set in your mind (or you drift into sleep).

      5. As you awaken, don't move!! Relax and just go over what you experienced in the dream, recall everything! If your dreams are vivid no problem. However, if all you remember is a face or a clock, put that down...write EVERYTHING DOWN, even the weak, feeble, "fragmented" ones!!

If you just can't remember any dream at all, write down this in your journal as well!! They meant it when they say write everything down!! In addition to saying you don't remember your dreams in your dream journal, write what you believe you would have dreamt!....Some times you'll be left simply with just a feeling, well work with this! Maybe go over RL events that you experienced the previous day, remember something you've seen or experienced which could have caused a dream during the night...maybe something strange or funny.

Make it a fun game, and you'll soon see results!!

When ever you point at the moon, what do you focus on?...The moon, or your finger pointing at the moon? Techniques are only "pointers" towards your goal. Your consciousness is like the moon, let it become full, expanded and brilliant through self knowledge and understanding. Proper meditation IS the best way to success.

There is a thread I've come across, it's amazing and simple and will work whether you just want to remember your dreams or go for LD's!!
It's called "Natural LD's with almost no technique" by X14Halo, and seems to be working for most people including me!

      Please try it!

Yeha you'll get better as you do it. Keeping a dream journal will basically make your brain gradually more susceptible to remembering dreams and the more you do it, the better you get. I personally remember around 1-2 a night and I started almost 2 weeks ago.
