      First Lucid dream!! (I think)

I do believe I have gotten my first lucid dream, it took long enough!

It started off in my friends LAN Center which he owned but hasn't been around for about two years. Everything was just as it would be regularly with a bunch of people playing on computers, chatting with each other over a drink, or just chilling out. Me and the owner began talking for a over the latest news and such when I notice his wife behind the counter with him. Though something seemed off with her, I began asking her a bunch of questions but that didn't reveal anything helpful. Then I realized she wasn't pregnant.

(Note: Her baby was actually due sometime this week, but I haven't talked to them at all this week)

Then I felt a rush or something that I can't really explain, but I knew I was dreaming because she wasn't pregnant. I quickly did a RC pushing my finger through the palm of my hand. I was amazed when i saw my finger come out the other side. Following the reality checked I rubbed my hands together to keep me lucid or whatnot. For the first time I felt so alive in the dream. I could hear everything that was going on, I could feel my hands on the counter top, and I could smell the familiar smell of the store.

Then I closed my eyes to change my location, but when I opened my eyes I was awake in my room. I did a reality check hoping I was still dreaming, but unfortunately I was really awake.

Can't wait for my next lucid dream so I can actually try something >.>

WooHoo! The first lucids are always short! I have some advice tho. NEVER CLOSE YOUR EYES. If you want to change scenes than spin. But anyway... Thats great that you had a lucid. What technique did you use?

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

      Follow up to this dream.

During that dream I said that the woman wasn't pregnant when I knew she was. But as it turns out at that moment she was not pregnant. The reason behind this is that she actually had her baby the night before my dream! (Healthy baby boy btw )

I was just incredibly amazed how this happened!

Congratulations with your first LD! May I ask how you induced it? (Which technique, or if it was totally random?)

Unfortunately it was pretty random since I don't really get much sleep to practice any techniques.

Hmmm, knowing that she was pregnant in the first place and (possibly) subconsciously knowing that she was due, your brain probably made a random prediction. Great news btw! Dreams are usually based on memories or events that have or have yet to happen. For some reason, it was this pregnancy that was the event in which you dreamed about and although your lucid dream was random, it almost seems like a DILD triggered by a subconscious thought!

So a DILD :p Congrats though for being so new it's really cool how you knew all about RC and stabalization, I think you'll have it down in no time then :p

Mine lasted about 5-10 sec. I tried spinning but everything turned black and a "whooshing" sound buzzed around my ears as I awoke
