Weird things going on with my eyes...

I have looked over other threads, but haven't really found this problem addressed in a lot of detail, and I could use some help...

When I try to relax my body for SP or just in general, when I begin to lose focus of my body my eyelids seem to lighten and drift open. To avoid this, I have to concentrate on keeping them shut to the point that it's distracting or squeeze them shut which just tenses my face up. Also, once I get them closed, I have enormous trouble keeping them fixed on a certain point. It's not so much that I'm looking around at HI, I just can't seem to keep my eyes from vibrating weirdly or just drifting around.
      Any advice is much appreciated

      I have that problem occasionally.
I just let my eyelids open a little. Since my room is very dark at night I can barely see a difference, so I don't think it affects getting into SP.
Usually after just a few seconds this feeling goes away and they close again.

I think I had those vibrations you described only once, and it went away quite fast, I'm not sure if it was the same thing though.
Sometimes my eyes drift around as well, usually upwards, I just ignore it.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

That happens to me too; focusing on a certain point isn't that important though, as long as you're relaxed. When my eyes are closed and I try focusing into the distance in one spot, my eyes get sore. That stresses me out so I just let them wander.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

This all makes sense, I do tend to overthink things...

      Thanks to you both!

I actually didn't even realize you were supposed to keep your eyes still. I just sort of relax when I go to sleep, so I guess they just settle into a position on their own. The very few times I've tried to enter sleep paralysis, my eyes caused me some trouble as well. I would relax my entire body and, I guess because I'm lying on my back, the gravity would cause my eyelids to drift open. Strange, I know, but that has been really the one thing keeping me from WILDing. That and of course giving up and falling asleep : D

I'm pretty sure it isn't gravity, fhgshfdg.
When your eyes are open, the muscles are in their relaxed state. So it probably has more to do with the body falling asleep and the muscles relaxing as a result.

You're not. Let your eyes do whatever they want. Just ignore it.
