      Multiple techniques in one night?

As a beginner, and someone who works a 9-5 job, the DILD technique at first seemed most appealing to me. However, after reading more about some of the other techniques, it seems that one could potentially try to use multiple techniques on a given night, depending on when they happen to wake up. More or less taking what your sleep cycle gives you.

Last night I used my journal and had four distinct dreams. I also woke up three times before morning, picking up the pen each time. Now my questions is, when I wake up in the night after trying for a DILD, at that point I could try the WILD or DEILD techniques, depending on the circumstances? I am probably getting ahead of myself, but as someone who naturally wakes up a few times during the night, if I can train myself to recognize the situation, I could potentially try multiple techniques in the same night. Is this a correct assumption?

      Appreciate the help!

Yes of course! In fact my first real LD spawned from trying to WILD, failing, and DILDing anyway! If you try more techniques you'll be more aware of when you are asleep and it could potentially be very good for getting LDs!

I say keep it up; I have school so I dont have the privilege of getting up at night X amount of times.

Yup, I think thats the best way. Throughout the day I try to have a general awareness and do RCs and question if I'm dreaming or not for DILDS. Then when I'm falling asleep, I repeat a mantra which is the MILD technique. When I wake up in the night, I'll attempt a WILD, and if it fails, just go back to my mantra, sometimes I try DEILDs also, since I haven't had a successful WILD.

You can try all of them if you want, the more you do, the better your chances.
