Exclamation Am I incapable of lucid dreaming?

Okay so here's the deal, I've only just recently thought about trying this. I've talked to a few friends and they have told me they've had a few lucid dreams in their life. I, on the other hand, have never had any. After reading a few threads, I see that many of you can become lucid after noticing something out of the ordinary in your dream. How is that? For me, I can see the most awkward things in my dreams and the possibility that I may be dreaming never arises. Last night, I had some weird dream where I kept trying to kill this fly and no matter how many times I tore it's legs off or how many times I stomped on it, it would just reconnect itself and fly away. Would that not be enough to become lucid? Other times I've had dreams where I am with a friend and talking to him, then the next second they are someone else. What's the problem? Thanks for reading all of this! Any replies are appreciated.

It's all about working on your awareness in your waking life so that it transfers over to your dream. When we dream, I think are frontal lobe is shut off, so we don't have any reasoning. That's why you can see so many crazy things in the dream that would never happen in life, and not even think that its a dream. Also when your trying to have a dild, it still happens randomly.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Ah, how good is your recall?
Also, it is normal that people won't become lucid from that, the people that you see here becoming lucid trained for that extra awareness, so its completely normal that you don't recognize those strange things at first. Don't worry, so long as you work on it, you will get lucid.

Thanks for the replies! My dream recall is decent I'd say, I had four that I could remember last night. Two of which I couldn't remember too many things but the other two were half a page long. Thing is, I don't remember small details. Like paintings on the wall, what time it was, what objects were around me. How do I improve this? I've been doing RC randomly throughout the day. But until I can find certain things in my dream journal that are reoccurring, I don't think doing a RC when I do something will make much difference will it?

Well, if you don't have a set dream sign, you can go for either day long RC or random RCs, that way it will happen regardless of whats going on.
Also, to improve that, either the DJ or eating more stuff with b6 and b12, thats all I know that helps with recall.

Just so you know, lucid dreaming can take a while to perfect, and even then it'll never be guaranteed. Don't be disappointed if you don't get lucid after a few nights sleep, it can take months (although probably won't).

Yeah, I read a lot about that. I just was curious because I don't see small details (or at least remember them) like I said. And it seems like most small details are what bring other people to lucid. I'm just scared I can't do it. haha

Don't worry about it, keep practising and it will inevitably come. Even if you don't want it to.

      "It is inevitable."
