First lucid in a long time

Last night, I had my first lucid dream in a long time. I became interested in LDing years ago, but I've never had one like the one I had last night, and it's all thanks to the dreamers at Dreamviews! I've been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now, and was able to recall certain stabilization techniques that I had read here, such as hand rubbing, and keeping the five senses active by using them frequently throughout the dream (I remember licking a mirror at one point.) I've never had that level of detail in an LD before, it was stunning! Long story short, I'd like to thank the Dreamviews community for helping me acheive lucidity. Couldn't have done it without your collective efforts!

Congrats on the lucid! I'm sure lots of us have resorted to pretty unorthodox stabilization techniques... I've rubbed my back on a wall once. It's great that your dream was vivid and that you were able to stay in it.
