      Talking Hola!

Hello everyone! I am new to both this forum and the term 'lucid', even though I apparently have lucid dreams all the time and just now figured out what they are. Anyway, lucid/vivid/easy to control dreams are pretty much all that I have. I don't do anything to get them, they just happen. Sometimes it's all quite tiring, which is ironic, considering I'm asleep. It's like every night I write an epic novel. Can someone tell me how NOT to dream this way?

Anyway, I am glad I found this forum. Looks like there are a lot of interesting things to learn about.

Hello welcome to DV. I think you are going to get a lot of responses on how lucky you are to be able to have LD's easily. A lot of people are trying hard to get used to having LD's. As far as your question on how not to dream this way. I never heard anyone ask this, but one way I know my LD's are ruined is when I follow along the plot of the dream. However, if your dream recall is really good, I'm not sure if there is a way on how not to have LD's. I'm sure someone will have better info. Welcome aboard.

Hi Slumberless, welcome to Dreamviews. Like QuietWhun said, following the plot of the dream can snap one out of lucidity. In the first place, lucidity is caused by greater-than-normal awareness in a dream, which often comes over from waking life. Do you really think about your surroundings and analyze things? Maybe that's why, or maybe it's just because you have a very active mind. Lots of people on this forum wish to have lucid dreams as often as you, but I can understand how it could become tiring after a while.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or another dream guide.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hola. Como estás ?
I belive some dreams can be tiring. I really don't know how to overcome it, some people say that certain techniques in dreams (I have read happening with time dilatation) can even cause headache. But it's not to worry about, If this little tiredness don't really bother you, just try to be better at control, at it will probably stop.

QuietWhun- I do realize after reading about how hard it can be for some people to have LDs, I can consider myself somewhat fortunate. I wouldn't want to completely be rid of these sort of dreams, most of them are pretty cool.

Puffin- I've always been told that I have an over-active imagination. I write novels, paint, and all that jazz. I think it all transfers into my sleep.

Brunor2- I'm curious about the control thing. If I could have more control over when these happen it would be nice. Like a light switch!

In dreams, most control is done by belief. A common technique for making someone or a dreamscape appear, is to open a door expecting the person or landscape to be in the other side. There is lots of techniques for dream control.
