Hi and welcome to DV! It's great that you intend to improve your recall before you start trying to get lucid, but you should atleast become a bit familiar with Reality Checks. Do them every now and then, and perhaps set up a goal you really want to achieve. This might be enough for you to become lucid just like that, with barely any effort at all. |

Hey Fernanvic, im fairly new as well. I have lucids fairly often but I am not yet able to control the dream world much. One thing I am pretty good with is my recall, I can recall at least one dream a night sometimes more. My only advice is make sure u write in your journal as often as you can. Also, make note of any detail you can remember, colors, shapes, clothes. Keeping track of the little things will make the memory more vivid in your mind and will improve your recall greatly. |

Thanks everyone! Yeah I'm already doing reality checks like every five minutes, figured it would be a waste of time not to. |

Well, the thing to remember with reality checks is that it is good to do them often, but be sure that they do not become habit. What I mean by this is, they completely lose their effectiveness if you do them half-heartedly out of routine. It's incredibly frustrating to do a reality check in a dream, only to come to the conclusion that you are awake |
