      Needy newbie here ;D

Hello! So last night I attempted to lucid dream for the first time and failed; though, that's not surprising since I didn't do much to induce it. Dreaming is a subject that I have always been interested in, and I have always wished to have the ability of lucid dreaming. Today I found this forum and hoped that maybe the people here will be able to help me start off.

From some research, I saw something about lucid dream inducing videos to watch before falling asleep but I'm not able to find any. Perhaps you guys could send me in the right direction?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! I hope I'll be able to fit into the Dream Views community :]

Welcome! First of all, do you keep a dream journal? If not you should, it's key to getting better recall. I recommend Puffin's DILD tutorial couple with a MILD techinique, and this for any videos.

      Edit: Got it.

BillyBob. Use anything and everything ever written by BillyBob. Mzzkc and Naiya also have some pretty darn cool tutorials up. I recommend them all highly.

So, I started a dream journal when I woke up today (handwritten), but sadly did not become lucid in any of my dreams last night

Which technique do you suggest for first-timers? DILD? I attempted that yesterday, but I suppose it just needs time and patience?

LD takes time to work. It varies heavily by individual of course, but you can probably expect your first one within 2 to 4 weeks. At most, the outer edge of the norm is 3 months before your first one, but even this is quite unusual. Just stick with it, and you'll become lucid.

I have always had such a clear memory of my dreams that I never felt it was necessary.
Same here but keeping one has made me focus more on what I want out of them. I post in the DJ only when I have something memorable and my dream have become much more so after doing this.

      Best of luck!
