I want to talk about the best dream you have ever been in.+tips for the dream journal

So...... i just got here. and i want to say hi to everyone. so hi!=D
i would love to know what the best dream ever for you was. and possibly what you did to induce it. also i am trying a dream journal and would love some tips.

Hi Tom and welcome to DV! Well, if you want people to tell your their stories about the best dreams they have ever had (if you can't find a thread like it in the search section) then I suggest you put it in "Lucid Experiences". Feel free to make a post there and I promise you people will respond

About the DJ. I suggest you keep a journal or something similar next to your bed. Whenever you wake up during the night, you write a dream down if you remember it. Remember to do this, as dreams escape you easily. Don't write the entire dream down, but short words that will make you remember.

Keep writing in your DJ every day. Dream recall isn't something that will improve overnight.

thanks man. =D i will definitely do that. and i dont really like to write and i sometimes don't write legibly when i wake up... have you ever used a tape recorder??? and if so how much was it?

I'd suggest not using a tape recorder. I tried it once and it was not comprehensible in the morning. It was simply a blur of fragments.

I dunno, though, it works for some people. iadr, from mortalmist (another lucid dreaming site), uses a tape recorder with great success.

If you own an mp3 player or an ihpone you should be able to use it's record function.

Welcome! My best dream was when I was younger, but strangley, even though it had parts that made no sense, it was a full dream. Equvillant to a movie. It had an ending with no cut off and a beggining. Like a suspense movie! My lucid dream happened because I said to myself over days and days that I will have a lucid dream. I just told myself that I would. Welcome to Dream Views! (I'm kinda new, too.)
