Welcome to DV. To answer your question, probably not. People here are very communal and like to share their tips and tricks. I doubt that anyone is going around with some "secret" method to having an LD. You can find threads on a variety of different LD induction techniques here in the Attaining Lucidity area and here in the Tutorials area.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

not trying to sound mean and i apologize if i come across that way, but i meant if anyone just had a trick they tried and it worked for them, like they say studying your hands before you fall asleep can help, i was wondering if anyone had thought about something, or done something before they fell asleep to help become lucid, and thank you for the welcome

      Hi, welcome to Dreamviews!

To be honest, there's quite a few main LDing techniques (including the most popular, DILD, WILD, and MILD) that have helped the majority of people who are interested in lucid dreaming. The more unique techniques are more like variations of already-existing ones. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me or another Dream Guide - we're the users in green.

      Good luck!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

There are no shortcuts. These are the core steps that have worked for me.

      1. Constant dream journaling.
      2. Increased awareness in waking life.
      3. Motivation
      4. Lots of sleep.

Welcome to DV, from one n00b to another I find the tutorials really helpful. Get a cuppa tea or coffee and settle in for a few hours of reading. Lots of good stuff in there!
