I just heard about lucid dreaming last week, and began to read about the matter. I had been recalling some of my dreams already and analyzing them on dreammoods.com for fun. I have never kept a journal and never tried to induce a lucid dream, even when I had one this week. I think it was Monday or Tuesday and I dreamed I was at a flea market looking at items in great detail, although I wouldn't say I was lucid at this point. I then walked into my great grandmother's house and when I walked out through another door, I was totally lucid. The detail was real and the fact that I knew exactly what was going on was amazing! So now, here I am trying to further the experience and explore this amazing ability. All I really did for the short lucid dream I had was look around like: "wow". Now I absolutely can't wait for the next one!!! Hello everyone |

Hi, welcome to Dreamviews and congratulations on your first lucid! It's definitely an amazing experience which everyone should experience at least once. As for how it happened, you're definitely doing it right, so keep up what you're currently doing. Practice being aware and question if you're awake, and do a few reality checks here and there to make sure you're not dreaming. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
