Hi all. Waking when relising lucid.

      Hi all.

My first trip to the forum. I keep waking up as soon as I relise I'm dreaming at the moment.

That's where I'm at right now.
      ( see thread `became-lucid-i-waking-up-16174` )

      What else?
I once had a thoery of the universe when waking up. I stumbled for a pen because a concious mind is not enough to hold the idea. The pen fell off the table. That was mildly annoying to say the least!

All I know is that the idea was a series of bizarre ideas connected in a guppy ball shape. There was an ideological link there between gravity as a concept and intention of the mind. I'd like to use lucid as a way of getting thoeries like this down on paper.

      Here's some ideas:

      - voice activated recording on the phone to see what you are saying in the sleep

      - is there a way for technology to tell if we are asleep? If so, monitor that and then we can wake at set points if we want to

That happens to a lot of people just beginning to lucid dream. Try to ground yourself in the dream, look around and touch things and try not to get too excited. After a few tries with that you should notice yourself being able to stay in a lucid dream longer.

You know many people believe that during lucid dreaming, or dreaming in general, that there is a great possibility that we are much much more intelligent than in waking life and this is backed by science. Science has found that during the rem state, oxygen and blood are both doubled to the brain. Science also found that the electrical signals in the brain is off the chart during rem.. Einstein, Thomas Edison, and many others had purportedly mentioned using a dreaming awake state to come up with ideas and theories for waking life... There is even a scientist who worked for NASA who claims to have used Lucid dreaming to solve many of his complex job tasks...

I have found many times just as falling asleep thinking about a problem, that i suddenly come up with a solution, so i wake up and right down my ideas.. and the next day apply them.. I really love the theoretical possibilities of this and it is one of the reasons I am compelled to continue lucid dreaming and exploring...

A voice activated recorder or using the phone to record is an awesome way for recording dreams when waking up in the middle of the night, or times when recall of dreams is very fresh.. I sometimes use my phone for exactly this.. then go back to sleep. It works great..

Dont be a stranger here and Welcome to the forums!!
