Thread: Agh. I've been so close to LDing!

The past two dreams I have had, my friend was eating pizza and she said "Pizza tastes so much better in you're dreams, Andrew!" [My name lol] And my stupid dreamself said, "No it's not a dream"

I had no control over it at all, I wish I could've done a RT but it's wierd, I have no control.. How do I train myself to take control of that situation?

Another dream involved me looking at a "Dream TV" and it was a video of what I would do if I was LDing, so I was trying to do it in my dream, nut no Lucidity followed..

You need to do a reality check if you ever have even the slightest suspicion that you are dreaming. I recommend the nose pinch RC. Pinch your nose closed and attempt to breath through it anyway. If you can...you are dreaming (there are others as well). It seems like your mind will do everything it can to keep you from becoming lucid sometimes. It takes practice and experience to become consistent. You could try RCing throughout the day as well, and hopefully it will carry over into your dreams. I know I need to do a RC right there but the thing is, I just don't realize the urge to do one. I have no control in my dream and it just flies by me and when I wake up, I'm mad at myself because my dreamself didn't think of doing a RC.. Hard to explain.

I understand. It will just take some practice. Once you "break through" and start doing them, you will miss opportunities like this less often. Just before falling asleep, tell yourself that you will attempt a RC in your dream tonight. Tell yourself out loud and truly believe it. This will help, if the opportunity arises with the dream.

Yeah, I've dreamed that I was lucid dreaming as opposed to actual lucid dreaming before. Lol, kind of a hard concept grasp, but I have definitely done it.
