      Something annoying blocking my SP

So, I have this rather annoying problem when I want to WILD and what makes it more annoying is that I'm too busy with work do dedicate myself and start writing a new dream journal and I only experienced LD once and that was very briefly and I'm probably just too anxious. I do the preparations and relax. But as time passes and I feel the levitating sensations, my left leg starts itching from the inside. I mentioned this problem before but didn't get a suitable reply. The itch might be part of SP setting in but imagine yourself trying to control your itching and twitching leg as it starts to spread over your left side and this seems to last like Duracell with no SP setting in. Finally I just give up as my shoulder and back muscles start to hurt and I have to shake off the itch before I fall asleep. I had the itch problem even before I tried to LD so if anybody has a similar experience please I really need help

When I'm in SP, my arms get spasms and it is very uncomfortable. It's all in my head tho, and if I just ignore it, I can enter the dream soon after. This is from DEILD though. Perhaps WILD isn't for you? Try the other techniques and see what results they give. Good luck!

Hey Dementos, just relax and try to ignore the sensation. If you can't seem to shake it and it is becoming a distraction...change positions. Roll over to a comfortable position and continue with your WILD process as if you had never moved at all. In a WILD you have to be comfortable...otherwise it will be pretty hard to fall asleep. If you can't fall asleep, you can't WILD. In my WILD technique, I roll to a new position every 10 minutes or so, unless I feel super comfortable. When you roll over, move rather slowly and don't jar yourself too much. Keep your eyes closed and even if you don't feel groggy/sleepy...act like you do. Then just continue the process like normal. Often times, I will hit SP only moments after my position change. Give it a shot. Good Luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks. I read about your technique and really want to try it. I'll try this weekend and hopefully have something worthwhile reporting. Until then I'll try doing a dream journal.

Don't force yourself to lie in an uncomfortable position. Shift around as much as you need to be comfortable. WILD does not really depend on what you are doing with your physical body. Your success hinges on what you are doing with your mind as you fall asleep.

So, should I try to shake of the spasms? I think I might be able to control my mind. In fact I'm going in right now. I'll try WILD without any proper relaxation as I don't have much time so I hope for some success (at least at falling asleep as I spent hours fighting spasms in the last few tries).

It is best to just ignore the spasms if possible, as long as they are causing discomfort. If you are feeling uncomfortable, go ahead and roll over/change position into a more comfortable one. You absolutely must be able to fall asleep, and if you are uncomfortable and distracted, it will be difficult to fall asleep. The whole process you should be relaxed and calm in nature. If you are "fighting" something off, you are being much too active. Even if the "fighting" is all mental.
