Hi all, this looks like a great site and the perfect place to share my experience.

I've had scores of dreams in the past where I'm aware that I'm dreaming but usually I have no control and remember very little except for the fact that I knew I was dreaming, but last night....wow!

I was pretty much just hanging out in the street with my cousins chatting and having a few beers when suddenly I became aware that I was dreaming. I don't know what triggered me to feel this because the setting was completely average like a normal day but as soon as I realised, I got really excited and began running around, yelling and laughing like a crazy person. My cousins weren't paying any attention to me acting this way which didn't strike me as odd at the time but I guess that was the only odd thing about the situation.

I remembered a video I saw on youtube about lucid dreaming and tips on how to manipulate the scene so naturally I tried stuff...but nothing. I tried flying, jumping into the air but actually falling and hurting myself. At one point I lay face down on the warm sun-baked tarmac, closed my eyes and tried imagining myself floating off the ground....but nothing. After a few attempts, I started having doubts and the solidity and realness of my surroundings led me to think I was being silly. I gave up and re-joined my cousins but I felt so confused because I knew it was a dream. I was in complete control of my actions for what seemed like hours and I remember every detail but I remained bound by the laws of gravity, almost as if I couldn't entirely believe I could have this much control which was probably the reason why I couldnt manipulate anything.

Has anyone experienced this kind of dream? I would love to hear some thoughts on how I can break this gravity bound experience for the next time it happens.
