How many days or weeks could it take to master lucid dreaming?

Is it also possible to remove pain while lucid dreaming?
How many days could it take to master or improve playing a guitar?
And how days or years are your longest lucid dream? I heard that Robert Monroe reported having a lucid dream that lasted a hundred years.

Its hard to remove pain in dreams because in dreams pain is made by the mind - if u dont expect the pain there wont be any
Current task : Have one lucid dream within next 3 weeks.

The pain thing is real easy, just don't expect there to be pain. As for the guitar thing, I think there have been studies that show that in your dreams sometimes you do what you have done in the day and makes you better ( i.e if you were playing soccer that day and you couldnt get the hand of it, the next day you suddenly get it )

And as for your last question. Dream time seems different than real time. He wasn't really dreaming for a hundred years. There must of been time skips every couple of minutes. The longest dream I probably ever had was 10-15 minutes but it seemed longer ( ive been practicing lucid dreaming for about two years)

Will the things that you learn on your lucid dream like playing soccer help improve your ability when you wake up?

I Can lucid dream when I return from school. Im currently 18 years of age. Any full night of sleep I can never master lucid dreaming, try taking a nap in the middle of the day, it seems to be more eficient.

If you already know how to do something - particularly physical activities like playing an instrument - then It strikes me that practicing in a LD could be very helpful in imprving the skill. A lot of the skill involved in such activites is in muscle memory and the mindset needed. Such things can be practiced in the dreamstate.

If you don't know how to play the guitar, then no amount of dreaming will magically create that knowledge in your head.

      1. Hmm...I have purposely made myself feel pain, and I have also felt pain accidentally. For the most part though, it seems pain is completely absent during lucid dreams.
      2. I think that practicing guitar in a lucid would help you improve in real life as well. I doubt it will make a massive improvement, but it could definitely help improve the mental aspect of it.
      3. A lucid that lasted a hundred years....hmm, not sure about that. I have had lucid dreams that lasted an hour or so, real time. They often felt like they lasted much, much longer (nearly a full day or so). For me, it seems it is really hard to judge the time (dream time anyway) in a lucid.
