      Hey all! Looking for advice!

      Hey all

I signed up some 30 seconds ago. Just found the website following Google, brought on by my interest in this kind of subject from five years ago...

Looking for some pointers in where to go to achieve lucid dreaming. I'm usually pretty rubbish in remembering my dreams in the first place, but every so often I'll get sleep paralysis with sights sounds and spinning, etc, when going to sleep (never after waking). They're good at terminating before any sleep state comes on.

I used to try all this out a few years ago but I've forgotten pretty well and never achieved anything in maybe a year asides lots of sleep-related sensations and one OBE which was very exciting (it happened in the morning, in waking up).

So where to go? I've been having a look around but haven't found anything so far I could use. Anything links worth following? Is there anywhere I could go with the paralysis?

      Cheers

      Kevin

      Welcome Kevin

hi and welcome to the forums kev
firstly you should check the tutorials -->DV Tutorials and --> DV User Tutorials

also you need to start a dream journal this is important for remembering dreams and it will help your recall in the long run.
also start performing RC:s regularly to boost the chance of becoming lucid just check the tuts and you'll be in a good start
remember if you have any questions just ask someone
      and welcome again
Insanity is the mind's only effective defense against reality.
sometimes dreams are so good that it hurts to wake up... .

Welcome to DreamViews! You should look particularly at the WILD method. This is where your frequent sleep paralysis will be turned into something useful. Any time you feel SP coming/setting in...you should attempt to WILD. Also, browse through some of the other tutorials, so you can get a nice overview on the different induction methods in general. 12g951ad has provided you a link to the tutorials and there is also a link in my signature. Good luck and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I would also agree with reading some tutorials on WILD. If you've already had sleep paralysis/imagery/sounds, you're already most of the way towards achieving lucidity through that technique.
If you were to do it after waking you would see some pretty noticeable differences.
