Any VILDers out there who can help?

I've got to the point now where I really want to start WILDing and stop focusing as much on DILDing. I've been reading up and VILD seems by far the most exciting to me.

My question is: Is it possible to imagine a scenario during waking life? Will this in turn make it easier to "fall" into that scenario when you vild?

I ask because I have this ideal environment in my mind which I doodled today in class. It's become quite detailed now and was wondering if I've taken it too far.

      Thanks for your time, people.

from what ive heard, your not supposed to imagine the whole scene with details and everything, but as a vague outline, and as you are in your dream, build it as it comes. The details make it harder to go into your LD and makes the WILDing a bit complicated. Instead of imagining everything right away, start with just the outline of the room, or space.. and create it from then once your in your dream (: If that makes any sense.. haha
      Good luck!

I've always found that visualizing something with motion works best. Like visualizing drawing numbers or words on a blackboard, or piece of paper. Something about watching the motion really pulls me into it. I recently read on here that someone likes visualizing that they are watching a figure skater. I'm sure that would work well in the same way.

I once visualized that I was painting on the wall of my room, and ended up creating an Wizard Of Oz type of scene. You could try imagining that you're painting the scene you want to dream of on a wall. That way you will have the motion of the painting strokes pulling you in, as you imagine the scene at the same time. You might not end up with exactly what you intend, but it could be fascinating none the less.

It's basically a WILD where you visualise what you want the dream scenario to be.

And Caradon, I love the idea of painting the scene. This sort of stuff really captures my imagination, I'll definitely be trying this tonight!

      Thanks everyone

EDIT: Going to have to thank OMGErika too. Just tried the basic shapes VILD in an afternoon nap. I was dipping in and out of a dream and it ended up taking the form of the Family Guy set where I danced and sang "At the end of this song I'll do reality check" with the whole cast. Unfortunately as I was dipping in and out I got quite excited as I realised what was happening.

Lol yes, it was an exciting yet strange experience. I wouldn't know what to do if I became lucid in a cartoon world...panic?

But seriously thanks everybody, your advice genuinely is changing my life

Yeah if you work on it a lot during the day your chances of success will go up.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
