Hey everyone
I joined because my boyfriend recently started talking about lucid dreaming and I have always had lucid dreams.Until about a yr ago I thought everyone had the same kind of dreams as me. I have them probably 4 nights out of the week The 1st one I remember was when I was 5 and it was a week long. I remember the entire thing. It was I guess something like a controlled nightmare and I was fully aware it was a dream. I do have some "normal" dreams but I don't usually remember them. I do remember my lucid dreams though. I like to have a lot of colors in my dreams, and old buildings. There are usually animals. I like to have things I like in general. I can't fly in them and I can't control every situation but most of it can. I also read a lot of things in my dreams. I read somewhere that this isn't normal. The things I read are very clear, I can go back to them later in my dream and read them again, and they always make sense. I cannot control what I read though. there are usually numbers as well and I remember them when I wake up too. Faces of people are very clear, as are voices. Textures are very umm whats the word I'm looking for real I guess? To get out of my dreams I usually start screaming or crying, which I usually wake up doing. I also have what I learned here are Hypnagogic imagery and hypnagogic sounds, I thought I was going crazy! I usually feel like someone is standing at a door or I hear music or breathing. I guess my question is how can I have some consistent normal dreams? And am I really having lucid dreams or am I just nuts? Is the reading something that only happens in lucid dreams because I don't really remember my "normal" dreams. What makes a person more able to have lucid dreams naturally than others? What causes me to feel like there is someone standing by a door? I also have conversations while I am asleep.I don't know if this is connected with lucid dreaming or not but they are perfectly normal conversations ie my bf will ask me a question and I will answer him clearly and with an answer that makes sense, and not just one word answers, like full blown explanations, and I never remember this! My mother does this too. Any suggestions or info? Thanks everyone and Sweet Dreams!
