Welcome to DV! Battling nightmares is a reason alot of people have for wanting to learn how to Lucid Dream. Just learn to recognise the scary things and ignore them (or fight them, your choice).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

      What matte said.

Ever since lucid dreaming I have very few nightmares.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

      Hi Julie.

I know lucid dreaming will help you with your nightmares. It used to be the only reason I ever became lucid actually. So after learning to lucid dream, you could just make the demons disapear, destroy them with an energy wave, force wake up, etc. From my experience, I started to get nightmares less frequently and they would be less scary after lucid dreaming.

      Welcome to DV Julie .

Once you learn that you have the ability to control every aspect of your dreams with practice, you will be able to combat your nightmares as Matte said. It can also help to have a goal to aim towards, for example, flying, telekinesis, etc.

Wow hey you guys x I once realised I was dreaming but then I asked my mom and she told me I wasn't so i shut my mouth and went along with it (naturally ) but I am trying the thing where I touch my necklace and then question whether I am dreaming, it really isn't too much of a hassle.

Something you could try, is All-Day Awareness (ADA). Rather than trying to explain it myself, I'll post a link to a great article by KingYoshi, which helped me to become more aware.

I find battling nightmares not only the only way for me to stop them, but one of the most reliable and fun ways to stop them.

      Welcome to DV
