hey new here, got some questions !

Hey everyone, I've just started my attempt at lucid dreams, here are some problems I'm having,

I'm trying to keep a dream journal, but every time I have the intent on recording my dreams I don't remember them, and I seem to dream more when I don't record them.

I had my first lucid dream about a month ago, I woke up in my room, but started freaking out as I realized I was dreaming then woke up.

My second lucid dream was strange, I'm a physically fit guy and I dream about going to the gym sometimes, and I guess my dream sign is doing pullups, when I realize I'm doing to many pull ups I know im dreaming and as soon as I realize it, my conscious mind gets thrown in, i was like in this strange world for a few seconds then i noticed my eyes started opening and I again woke up in my room (in a dream state) , I did a reality check and looked at my hands they were blurry and turning invisible, I tried to get up but lost control and woke up.

Now the third time is puzzling, I was doing pull ups, realized I was dreaming, everything went dark then my body started tingling all over, it felt pretty good actually, so I opened my eyes and this black shadow flew across my face and it startled me, I noticed I couldn't move, some how I than started moving my arms, then I kind of faded back to reality.

Hi and welcome to DV! Your recall will improve the more you try to remember your dreams. Why you should write them down is because alot of details are lost pretty quickly, and if you wake up during the night and have a dream, it's almost impossible to trigger the memory of it in the morning if you have no clue what the dream was about.

The good feeling you had, is called Sleep Paralysis. It's all in your head, and 100% safe.

It can take some time to make Lucid Dreaming a habit, but you will improve in time if you just want to. Record your dreams, and have the intentions of getting Lucid and you'll be fine.

If you have any more questions to ask, then just ask away in here or in a PM. Good luck!

      Dreamwolf-
I strongly recommend keeping some record of your dreams, whether its here on dv or in a notebook or other medium. Even if you feel like its not helping, it will improve your dream recall significantly and consequently help you have more/better LDs. I remember when i had just started LDing, i thought my recall was good enough and stopped recording my dreams, but i started having fewer and fewer lucids until i reopened my notebook. Also, you normally wake up if you get too excited when you become lucid, so try to remain calm, or try spinning in circles (it works, trust me). Good luck!
      Well then, it's about time!
