      I'm getting there!

I just had a lucid that I accidentally ended on purpose. That's confusing to understand unless you've done that before. this is my second lucid where I made the dream last as long as I wanted it to, apparently i'm completely capable of this now. I've impressed myself!(because it's only my 5th lucid!) I don't know hat I've been doing differently though,(which is frustrating) other than not keeping a dj anymore. But i didn't post this thread to just boast. I would like to ask you how to use the period when I wake up in the middle of the night for easier lucids. Because when I wake up in the middle of the night I feel like i'm still dreaming but then fall back asleep before realizing i'm really awake. how do I become more aware during this time for a DEILD or DILD? Oh and my lucids are kinda fuzzy. How can I make them more constant to

P.S. I haven't reality checked or written in my dream journal for weeks. WHY am I suddenly better at this. I'm sure luck like this WILL NOT last. If I do start reality checking and keeping my dj again for some reason my brain doesn't let me lucid dream that way either. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH MY HEAD!

When you wake up in the middle of the night, you should keep lucid dreaming in your head until you fall asleep again. So you could just get up, go to the bathroom and get back in bed again while thinking about lucid dreaming all the time, or you could maybe browse the DV forums and read some posts in the WILD forum. It works like a long mantra which lasts from when you wake up, until when you enter the lucid dream through sleep paralysis.

And if you keep the attitude that your luck won't last, then it won't. You need to have confidence that you will lucid dream and don't doubt yourself, and when you do have a lucid dream, don't put it down to luck or good conditions.

Well good job on your well lengthed lucids so far

Maybe every time you have a lucid it makes you believe that you will have more without effort. Even if it is a placebo try not to ruin it. You can also easily accompany the WBTBs with thousands or RCs and a mantra. If you can't fall asleep easily after the WBTB then reduce the time that you stay up. If you fall asleep too quickly then try to extend the time. Hopefully you will soon find a balance
