Red face Hello, i´m new here!

      Hello all.
My name is Edgar and i am 17 years old and recently i started to interest in lucid dreams.
First i apprecciate if you could give me some tips to get a lucid dream please
I wanna too that i am little worried, because i have difficulties to remeber my dreams. And when i remeber them is to much vague. For example i remeber my dream of last night, but dont remember to many details. Remeber that i was on a forest that is near of my house and i usually go there to go cycle ( but in the dream i dont know what i was doing there, dont remeber).
Sorry my awful english, i am from portugal
      Congrats,
      Edgar

Welcome! Don't fret over bad recall. Most of us aren't able to recall dreams too well when starting out. I know I only remember very few dreams over the entire year but since I've started this, I've started remember multiple ones per night. First thing you want to do is start up a dream journal. Basically you want to write down your thoughts before bed, after you wake up, and any of the dream you had that you can recall. You'll start remembering more and more the more you write in it. Also, it's important to write something down even if you can't remember your dreams from that night. Another thing is that I'd recommend writing these things down in a physical journal using a pen or pencil. The motion of writing things down physically improves what you remember.

As for other things to help you... check out the http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-116237/

Good luck to you and welcome to the forums!

      Hey, Edgar!
      Welcome to DV
I wish you good luck with those dreams. Through I don't wanna scare you but are you sure ready to have LDs? Many people can find it frightening when they can't control their dreams. (especially on nightmares, because they will just feel trapped in the dream. it actually happened to me) Again I don't wanna scare you...just telling you the risks in case you don't know, so you can make a wise decision

Don't be frightened dear newbies. Your mind only projects what you're thinking. The number one thing about Lucid Dreaming (besides sleep) is to be positive! LD is perfectly fine and it's actually quite amazing to experience. It's worth the effort. Especially if you go in to it with a positive attitude.

For example in a nightmare, stop it, change cenarios, control everything like i was God. ( By the way, tonight i had a dream and today i remeber that dream, i will write it on dreams journal ).

If you knew you were dreaming, you could focus on your physical body and make yourself wake up. You can end a Lucid Dream pretty easily. I just had my first last night, finally, and I can tell you it's more than worth it. It was so real that I had to do 3 Reality Checks before I accepted that it was a a dream.

Of course you can! It is just about how much lucidity you have and how much you belive in reality. Here is a quick tip : If you want to change places, you can fly, teleport or just say "When I will turn I will be in X". It is how much you belive in what you say, really! If you want to fly and you never did that before just say "I am able to fly. I am an expert and I did this hundreds of times.". Don't get discouraged if you can't, you will succeed in another dream.

I´m happy that you had your first lucid dream and i hope i can get there too Last night i tried to had one, but its too early. Before sleeping i said to myself: " I will have a lucid dream, i will know that im having a dream." What i tried to do was to prepare my conscious, i tried to embed that on my brain, but didnt works.

Thanks for your tips VladP I have an doubt, its more like a fact. I have the impression that in dreams everything is more abstract than reality, lookm ike that in reality there are more pormenors. But this can be because i can´t remeber at all of my dream too.
