      Hello ;3

Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the site and lucid dreaming. I've had one before but due to my excitement and inexperience I collapsed the dream or ended it. The lucid I was in was very blurry and I didn't recall in description it might have been due to my low dream recall skills. I've browsed the forums a little and i have been trying A.D.A to help my awareness. When ever i finish a dream or at least so far I some how manage to wake myself up to write down what i dreamed. I'd like to get better and have more lucid dreams. Hopefully i can master or at least have a grasp of this skill. I've tried Yoshi's W.I.L.D technique but failed several times. So tonight I'm going to try Yoshi's and Naiya's DILD technique. Since i the forums said DILD is easier. I Am and know i will have a lucid dream tonight >:I. Thank You for reading and if there are any threads that might help me please give me a link and reply thank you .

      Hi Supertree(bunch of numbers)

Welcome to DV!! It sounds like youre going about it the right way. Keep at it. It's great that you can wake yourself up after a dream... you're already well on your way. Any day now (um... make that night I guess) it'll happen.

      Hi supertree welcome to dreamviews

ADA (all day awareness) and naiyas DILD technique is great! Just keep it up and have confidence and you will get there! Good luck

      Hey, Supertree34! Welcome to DV!!
Seeing blurry images when you are in a dream aren't due to the weak dream recall. It's about the vividness.
Now...your dreams are vivid already...but you don't actually know how to observe them.
When you are in real life, you just go straight. You don't have time to look at a tree and its details. Try to observe the details of any object you want. Describe their shape, color, texture, smell, etc. Eventually when you'll look at objects in dreams even if you aren't lucid they would look more vivid, because you'd look at them in detail.
If you are lucid and everything seems blurry and all, try to look at the surroundings in more detail.
Also eat 1 or 2 bananas (for B6) and a good amount of cheddar cheese (for tryptophan) like an hour before going to bed.
I see you're not very good at controlling your lucid dreams. When you become lucid shout "STABILIZE!" out loud. Then try to spin around (Be careful! When you spin around you're gonna find yourself in a different place. Remember yourself that you're dreaming while spinning to avoid losing lucidity!).
Also don't try to control your dream actively (by just imagining something and expect it to happen). You're a novice! All you'd do is destabilize your dream. Control them passively. If you want something to happen don't go ahead and use your superman powers! Just ask for something and it would happen.
      Well...I wish you good luck!

Instead of Yoshi's and naiyas DILD technique maybe you should try puffins? It's a great guide for beginners.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

      Welcome to dreamviews.

No matter what technique you choose, pick one and stick to it. Don't jump between techniques every couple nights. Be consistent and persistent and you will be lucid dreaming in no time.

Consistency is the best thing. When I first got started I was kind of jumping around which resulted in like a month of failed attempts. But once I stuck with one method, and also consistently wrote in my DJ every morning it really helped me a lot. Also (not sure which technique this came from) but doing reality checks during the day, while awake, really helped me to remember to perform them in my dreams.

      Good luck!

Yea i thx night I think I'm going to stick to Naiya's Visualization Method to get lucid, and everyday I go outside 2 -3 times for 10 mins to practice ADA (all day awareness but you probly knew that) while im doing that i usually do reality checks. I do several of them like looking at words and looking away then looking back, pushing my fingers through my palm, the nose plugging, and thinking of where i was and how'd i get there after asking my self after i was dreaming. I'm kinda discouraged though yesterday night I didn't wake myself up between dream cycles and I could only remember one dream and not very well too. At least I'm remembering something right? I know ill get better with the sites/users help and a bit of persistence.

Oh, and ill try to eat banana's (their my favorite fruit anyways are they a fruit? o.o) 1 hour before i go to sleep and I'll look at item's shape, color , texture, and smell in real life and see if that bleeds into my dreams if that's what you meant scorqyon ;3 if its not what you mean sorry for bothering you but could you explain what you meant then? Like how am i suppose to do that in my dream? Or am i suppose to think that when i finally get lucid?
