Thread: Hello

Hello,

My names is Matthew and a few days ago, I became interested in dreaming and everything dreaming related. I don't remember having lucid dreams in the past, but I'm sure I had experienced them, just don't remember. I enjoy sleeping, but I find it hard for me to recall my dreams and almost impossible to become lucid. At first, after finding this site and reading a few articles, I though I could learn to be lucid in a few days. But as I kept reading on, I realised it may not be that easy and I could need a few months if not more. But I hope I will be able to learn to experience lucid dreams as well as control them.

Well, first off, I'm glad you're interested in Lucid dreaming, always awesome to have someone new around here. Oh, but don't go into chat, otherwise people will chase you away. And don't talk to anyone either, because most of us are immature jerks. And don't bother with a Dream Journal, because most will just scoff at what they believe to be dreams not worth their time. And I wouldn't suggest posting any poems or pictures to DV, because they will just be gobbled up by the large immature jerk that is DV, and will belong to Alex.

Hey man good to have you interested ....... if you post any questions there are alot of people that will be glad to help ezpata the guy above must have had a few bad experences that left a bad taste in his mouth. Its actually easy to do just be calm and stay on track with a few goals in mind. Ur first goal shouldent be having lucid dreams but to remember them keep a dream journal and set alarms for yourself every 4 then 2 then 1 hours in the night write down anything you can remember and draw pictures anything helps after awile your memory of ur dreams will be more exstensive and detailed good luck!

I have a question: Why does DV need to own all of the stuff I post in it's threads? I mean, I hope I'm not crossing any boundaries when I say that I believe in such a thing as Intellectual Property when it comes to stuff like this. But still, why does everything I post, including any kind of artwork have to be the sole property of DV? Or, am I breaking some kind of taboo by talking about it?

Most forums do this. I don't really know why, maybe it's the easiest way to prevent legal arguments or something over intellectual property, but I don't kow. It's not a big deal anyways. That rule really has no effect on anything here.
