Is this weird or dreaming about death is normal?

      Hi everyone.

I have been trying to reach lucidity for several days now using WILD technique, but it doesn't seem to work, I always lay in my bed for so long, that my body starts to hurt a lot, and it's all I can think of, then I change my sleeping position. Although my dream recall is quite good, tonight I had around 4 dreams, 2 of which I remember quite well. The other 2 were fragments. I am unable to understand whether I'm in a dream or not and all I can do is observe. So any tips on how I could improve, maybe using some other technique or smth else?

Also, yesterday I noticed something weird. In every dream I had so far(around 15) someone dies, gets beaten almost to death, or is made fun of. Some endings from my dreams:
1.In the end, Lollipop(some girl) died.
2.I was being shown what prison life looks like, then 1 of the prisoners got killed.
3.We burned the brothers ship, which was their home.
4.We saw that they were being attacked by 5 people from the trees, they were throwing rocks at them. Me and my friend hit them out of the trees, then we kept hitting them in the face with wooden clubs.
5.I was shot in my back, then I died.
There's more, anyways tonight's dream was very weird too : I was waiting for them in my kitchen in darkness, only the moon was giving some light. Then I started seeing people coming at me 1 by 1, and when they reached me they would vanish. Their faces were soulless, full of pain and agony.

So any1 thinks this dying/getting beat up thing is weird?

Any help would be appreciated. P.S. Sorry if u had a hard time understanding what I wrote, I'm lithuanian.

I dream about death from time to time. I don't think it's particularly abnormal. I dreamed that I was trying to rob someone with an accomplice once but the accomplice was shot and killed.

Also, last night I dreamed that my friends and I blew up a train station. I think it's because I was thinking of the terrorist attack that happened in Norway recently.

I don't think it's abnormal. Since lot's of people are terrorized by thinking of dying, your subconsious might be focused on this...that's why lots of people have a lot of dreams of death, and these are the dreams that people remember best.
Personally, I have a lot of death dreams too. Also I dream A LOT with the end of the world
When you finish reading this, do a REALITY CHECK!!

In addition of LostInMind's post, I wanna say:

      - When you go to bed, or in the middle of the night, recall the dream and focus on, "I will dream this and be lucid while I do"

With practice, you will be able to dream on of these dreams and you will be lucid. Once you turn lucid, observe the dream and focus on any hostile aspects, (such as the guy who shots you in the back, or one of those prisoners about to die) Once you find this (it will be easy) ask him or her, "What do you represent? Tell me something important?" Do even if its an animal, a monster or whatever... it will speak anyway. You will be amazed with the results, as your subconscious is trying to tell you something.

Be sure to write everything down and kiss good bye to these bad dreams!

Let me know if you need anything!!! I will be happy to help!

Do you think I should try other techniques like DILD as I am a rookie in lucid dreaming?

This is kinda unrelated, but does having OCD(obsessive-compulsive disorder) have any effects on dreaming?

1.) Just choose a technique that you think is right for you and stick with it. Give it enough time to work (Don't give up on it after like a week). If you feel the technique you are using isn't working then you can switch to another one. Of course it's always good to do reality checks, and just be generally aware of what's going on around you.

2.) I have OCD, and it hasn't ever affected my dreams. (Unless you have some kind of sleep OCD.)
