Question about dream journals and my noobie experience

Hey guys I am a complete noob. I just found out about lucid dreams a few days ago. I have been doing a lot of research about it. I usually never remembered my dreams. Then I learned how to help my dream recall, today when I woke up I layed in bed kept my eyes closed and kept my mind on what I just dreamed about. I remembered the entire thing and started to write it down in a notebook. It was early so I went back to sleep, I woke up a few hours later and did the same thing and remembered a entirely different dream and wrote that one down too. I was really amazed that I remembered two dreams in one day because other than that the last time i remembered a dream was two months ago. Sorry I am getting off topic but what I wanted to know is, is it okay if I type my dreams on my computer next to my bed or is it not the same?

That's great! As you continue to journal, you'll remember more dreams each night =D But for recording it on a computer, I wouldn't suggest it. Since you'd probably have to get out of bed and the computer light would wake you up. You could, however, just write notes down in your journal to make you remember the dream later and then record it on the computer once you're finally up.

I think I will do that. It would make it a lot easier for me to look over later. Thanks!

      Hey JackRN, welcome to Dreamviews!

It looks like Kushybear already answered your question. Personally, I keep my phone right by my bed and then write key points of my dream in it. When I wake up later I read the key points and type my dream up, in detail, on my computer. Anyway good luck and keep it up!

I think what Im going to do is bring paper and a pen to bed. So when I wake up its right next to me and I can write it down right away. Then I will type it on DV just to be more organized and im a pretty fast at typing.

If you are thinking about keeping a digital journal then I suggest you take a look at Banhurt's dream journal software. It is absolutely fantastic! It was developed with Lucid Dreaming and the Dreamviews community in mind.
