Just beginning

Hey ya'll! I'm brand new to the forum, and new to the idea of lucid dreaming. I've been practicing dream recall so far, and I should be able to update a dream journal on here as I've been writing and saving them all. I guess I'm really just looking for any good advice veterans might have? I've never experienced anything like what people describe in lucid dreams. I've had vivid dreams, and some that had huge plots and seemed to last for days, but never any lucids. Here's hoping that I can learn this new skill! I do have a couple goals for what I'd like to do in a lucid dream...Ride a Dragon, fly in general, and practice martial arts. Any one had experience with a dream like those?

Flying in general is a common goal in dreaming, but it still might be hard to achieve. As you can see from my signature, my goal is to be a dragon rider, in a dream of course. Everyone's great here, so it's easy to become attached to this forum if you stay for a while. If you need help, you should ask the dream guides around here (People with 3 stars under their names). PM me if you are interested But I'd still like to know those things! I've really only been trying to recall my dreams with the purpose of eventually becoming lucid for the past 5 days. Figured a site like this will help me keep up my dream journal. I can only recall one a night right now, and it's usually in the morning. 2 out of past 5 days, I was unable to recall a dream. So I have a long way to go, but i'll keep practicing.
