So im a newbie to dreamviews, and am here to ask if it is usual for somewhat of a beginner to have little to no lucid dreams. I have been practicing lucid dreaming for about three months, and out of that have only accomplished a two second lucid. That was about two weeks ago. I look around and i see people talking about how they have had lucid dreams in the first week or even on the night upon starting. It is very discouraging how they have so much success but in my situtation i am getting nothing. When i read things like this i feel very incompetent. |

Stimulate your mind, read books and stay off the computer for about an hour before sleep. Helps with my dream recall immensely. Then once you start noticing dream signs you will be lucid in no time. I hope this helps you. I had been trying to lucid for years and then last month I began this technique and look at my LD count. It has been amazing. Keep trying I assure you that you can do it. |

A year of practicing DILD still didn't get me any lucids; I did feel pretty jealous of other people and how they were able to achieve their first lucid within the first month, but I still kept trying. And still, once I did succeed, all of my lucid dreams have been quite short and with little dream control. I am getting better, and I know you can too. Good luck! |

It is not unusual no, you are learning a new skill, its like learning piano, except your making the piano, teaching yourself to play it, and also providing the music sheet, if you see what im saying? First thing to do would be dont get frustrated about it! its not something you just automatically master, far from it. |

Don't be mad man. It's true that some are gifted while others are not, but one thing is clear: All of us CAN Lucid Dream. It's really common for beginners to have no lucid dreams at the start. It just requires patience and self confidence. If you think that a certain technique is not working for you, try other techniques. Hope this helps |
