Making a return to lucid dreaming

Hi everybody, I've been reading this forum on and off for a while and finally decided to join in, so here's my introduction and a cheeky question

I first came across lucid dreaming about 2 years back and got really into it for a few months. I think i felt guilty about missing out on sleep from too much WBTBing and stopped using techniques to bring on LDs.

I kept on with my dream journal though for about a year, though I'm not sure why I stopped. Now my dream recall isn't what it used to be and I only remember one or two well-detailed dreams each month.

Now i'm getting back into writing down my dreams, though still finding it quite tough. I wanted to ask if anyone else has had trouble getting back up to speed after some time away?

      Hello and welcome to DV!

I'm glad that you decided to join, because it's an amazing place - but you probably already know that.

Good luck with your lucid dreaming and the recall.
Your recall can be good again, don't worry!

Special thanks to Darkmatters for my signature picture.
Check out my Dream Journal !

I've had off times as well, but the dreams came flooding back with a forceful vengeance as my passion for the phenomenon began to explode. Coming back to these forums was a great move in the right direction. Just getting yourself reacquired with the fact that you're not alone, that lucid dreaming is a huge part of being a human, and that we can encourage each-other and keep each-other moving forward.

A big part of my own personal return to lucid dreaming has been nutritional supplementation. Have you considered Choline/Inositol?

      Welcome to DV my friend,
Sometimes, I get off the right track and tend to stop LDing. But recently, I got motivated to LD again. I suggest you go to http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-116237/ , it generally covers basic info about the forum and Lucid Dreaming. If you have some questions, don't hesitate to ask. Hope this helps

Welcome to Dreamviews! I'm glad you joined .

Plenty of people have trouble getting back into after time away. You just have jump in there and stay motivated and confident. It will get easier after a while. Good luck! If you have any questions PM me!

Wake Back to Bed shouldn't make you loose out on too much sleep, perhaps an hour at most, if you are attempting a WILD.
If sleep time was a big problem then you should probably just WBTB MILD instead.

On another note, hello and welcome to dream views.

      Hey lucidwarrior!

I'm in the same boat as you, my last purposefully induced lucid dream was 4 years ago. I've had lucid dreams on and off since then, but now I'm trying to get back into it as well!

I kept a dream journal on and off during the four years of non lucid dreaming, I found dream recall dramatically increased after a week, even a few days of practicing. I'm sure you'll get back into the swing of things in no time! I'll follow your progress, I'm interested to see how long it takes you.
