Maybe you checked iPod in your dream, And then you wake up and think ur check'd It, but you havent. Or maybe when you wake up very instant your brains maybe are still in Dream mode. But more like Dream -Sleep, and you are kind a sleepy. |

Ok so I have been getting up at around 3am trying to wild. I normally check my iPod throughout the night as I have a dj on their and also set my alarm etc. Lately I have noticed as I'm trying to go back to sleep or wild I think that I am checking my iPod or have looked at it but then realize that I didnt. It's like I'm laying in bed and think I'm checking my iPod then realize hey no I'm not I'm just lying here without it. At first I thought it might have been like micro sleeps it certainly seems that way however I'm pretty sure you have to be awake for like over 48 hours for that to happen. My question is What is happening? Am I asleep when I check my iPod is it micro sleeps or some kind of hypnogognia or just random thoughts im really confused it's happened a couple of times know and is their any way to get lucidity out of it. |

Lucid Dreams[17] - DILD's[12] DEILD's[5]
I experience this alot when I'm supposed to write down my dreams but I'm too tired and end up falling back asleep. It's a form of dream induction actually, you visualize what you do and if you're just about to fall asleep, the thoughts become more solid and eventually a dream. It's basicly what you do when you WILD, only you do it unintentionally. Try to take advantage of it! I know it can be very hard to relax and not get excited when you're trying consciously, but whenever you find yourself looking at your clock you should always RC. Might lead to a lucid or two |

Everyone drifts off, I do it all the time when I wake back to bed. |

This sounds like false awakenings. Very very common when starting out. You should get in the habit of doing a reality check as soon as you wake. This wil help you catch these and increase your lucid experience a ton. A good chunk of my early lucid dreams were caught false awakenings. |

I try to go to sleep at around 10 or 11 but by the time I fall asleep it could be 12. I think it would be easier if I woke at 7 as it's easy to remember dreams and go back to sleep but I don't have the time to be going back to sleep at 7. I have a good dream recall and write down dreams every morning. I have had false awakenings before but don't think this is it. Their more like halucinations/dreaming then realizing it's not real. I may have had a false awakening but like I said I doubt it. I will try to do rc when I check my iPod though. |
