      First Lucid Dream

Hey everyone, my name's James. I'm pretty new here.

I've been training for Lucid Dreaming for a few days and last night, it NEARLY HAPPENED ;O!

I asked myself "am I awake", and then rubbed my palms together. Looking back I know I should have done an RC. Anyway, I got excited, and all tingly, and woke up

Tell me about your almost experiences?

Pretty good! Seems with a few days and you're already becoming close to experience a lucid for more than 5 seconds, good job

My almost experiences were my 2nd to 4th lucid dreams. I couldn't get a way of leaving my house and the dream was always blurry enough to prevent me from being lucid for more than 5-10minutes

      Welcome to dreamviews James!
Well done for realising you were dreaming, there seems to be a common misconception on what is a lucid dream because I think you had one! If you realised your dreaming and woke up due to excitement it doesn't matter it was still a lucid dream so well done there.
If you want any advice or help just ask!

Edit: I looked at the title again and it said your first lucid dream, my bad, it's just you said you nearly had one

      that's great!
the first few LDs will be like that, where you are excited and awaken but it will change when you progress ^_^ just keep it up!
