      Hello Everyone

Hey! how is everyone? i just recently registered to this site, looking to get into lucid dreaming. I have known about lucid dreaming for about 5 months now. i have not tried any induction techniques yet, although i have still had 1 lucid dream(actually 3 but they were very short, i lost my lucidity in seconds) i have a DJ and record all of the dreams i may have each night.

I do have one question, and this is something i value more than lucid dreams ATM. Dream Recollection, any advice on how to improve it? i have a DJ, but what else could i do to remember my dreams much easier and more vividly?

Thanks in advance for any replies =)

      Hi welcome to the site.

For better dream recall you can try taking 5-HTP. I strongly recommend it.

You know what, I was about to ask the same question... you know, about how to remember your dreams besides DJing.
So yeah, what is 5-HTP? Where can you get it? :3

5-htp is a compound produced by the body and naturally found in many foods. Like bananas, potatoes , milk. In my opinion you can better look to take these foods rather than 5-htp capsules.

5-htp stimulates ur serotonin uptake and is generally used as an anti-depressant or to cure sleep disorders. During sleep it works to increase the amount of rem sleep you get by about 25% and makes for more deep sleep (Delta stage). However it reduces the time spend in the other stages (Beta stage , Theta stage). It is generally harder to remember dreams in deep sleep tho so i don't know if it will help recall so much. But it might make for more interesting dreams.

I used to take 5-htp to increase dream vividness and i did not notice anything different. Since i didn't take them as meds i decided to just quit taking them. For remembering dreams i'd say get more sleep. And tell urself or ur subconscious to wake up a few times each night to remember dreams. And when you are lucid remember to wake up to write the dream down. I've been doing this for a few weeks and i wake up generally 1-4 times each night and it hasn't made me more tired and i can easily fall back asleep.

      Congrats on 3 lucid dreams!
And WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME to dreamviews!
Apple juice seems to improve recall. And tell yourself as often as possible that you will/want to wake up after every dream. Also, tell your self to remember all your dreams. And when you wake up, don't move, and keep you eyes shut. And make it a habit to only think "what was I just doing?" or "what did I just dream?" right when you wake up. Do not let any other thoughts come it.
