Was this the beginning of a lucid dream?

      Hi Guys

I am very new to this area with lucid dreaming, but I've wanted to do it for a while so.
Two days ago I had a very clear dream. I remember I was on my way to the birthday of my grandfather. On the way up the stairs to the door, I suddenly became very dizzy. So dizzy that I could not see anything, and everything was just blurry.

Then I wake up. When I fall asleep again I'm back where I was in the dream. Then I think: this is just a dream.
At the same time I think about it, it feels like I'm falling into a dark tunnel, and all I hear is a massive loud sound.
Again, I wake up, notice that my heart pumps very fast and I'm out of breath.

Was this the beginning of a lucid dream?

If you knew that it was dream, then it was lucid dream.

Ok. But since this was my first lucid dream i just wonder, is the dark tunnel and loud sound part a typical "first time sign" ?
I ask because my friend had his first lucid dream last week. He explains the same thing.

There isn't really such thing as the "beginning" of a lucid dream, because once you know that you're dreaming, you're already lucid. Like Toozul said, it's a lucid if you were aware that you were dreaming; you could have been super-aware or more passively aware, but as long as you were mentally conscious on some level. A lucid dream is the same as a normal one except that you're aware, so it can essentially consist of anything - it could be it a nightmare, an unstable dream, or anything else!

You may have heard about your friend's experience and unconsciously associated his own experience with all first lucids, so you also had the dark tunnel and noise. But everyone's dreams are different; my first lucid occurred in my house, without any weird events or anything. It was probably just a coincidence or the fact that you heard about it the other day.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
