Guys, I just don't get it. I have the weirdest, most unrealistic dreams in the world and I still can not force myself to preform a reality check or even stop and say "Is this a dream?" I just let it all happened. |

I have to ask you a question, are you performing numerous mindless RC's(reality checks) in the hopes of becoming lucid by them? If so, you may not get very far as I used to do the same thing and it rarely worked to get me lucid, and I've never became lucid from randomly performing a RC in the dream, I always have the suspicion that I'm dreaming before doing the RC and I use it to confirm that suspicion. Now, how does one become suspicious of whether one is dreaming or not? you may be asking, well if you want my advice, I would look into sporadic awareness or all day awareness (SAT and ADA respectively) which are two techniques where you basically really observe the surroundings around you as deep as you can, instead of just RC'ing. You need to question your waking reality, you need to wonder whether you are dremaing even when you are awake, and you can't just answer "yes" or "no", you have to be able to give reasons to support your answer. Eventually this behaviour/habit will pass on into your dreams and you will find yourself questioning the reality you are in, and upon finding any inconsistency you may or may not become lucid, it all depends on how aware you become, and how long you remain aware of this awareness. Hope that helps |

Current goal: Learning pyrokinesis and FUS RO DAH
We all get dreams where we wish we could have realised we were lucid, don't worry, you were just not concious enough to realise. What lawilahd said is true, systematic reality checks don't really work (for most people). If I were you I'd try SAT and MILD technique, as those worked best for me when I first started out! |
