      Making progress but still stuck

Yo guys i've been practicing something called ADA lately, which stands for All Day Awareness and is apparently like the key to Dream Induced Lucid Dreaming. So i have a few questions.

      - I am supposed to notice the things I usually don't notice, like the smell of the air and the sounds of the birds and wind and the shadows of objects etc. Am I meant to notice all these things at the same time? Because this seems very hard to do.

      - Can you guys suggest a good daily routine? I've been wondering what a good daily routine would look like, for example: Morning: Write down dreams. Afternoon: practise awareness and RC meanwhile. Evening: 10 minute meditation and daydreaming at night before bed. At the moment i'd like to try RC's, ADA and WILD every morning.

      - I'm having trouble WILDing, when i wake up and try to WILD by keeping my mind blank and trying to focus on sounds around me, i always seem to fall asleep. Have you guys had problems with that? if so, how did you solve it?

So thanks in advance for your time and expertise, and hope to get a few ppl to reply!

The purpose of ada is to notice the things you normally dont, you dont really have to notice all of them at the same time, since human awareness can really only concentrate on one thing at a time, but just know that thats there you never noticed it, but now you know its there and yeah smell the air associate it with a smell, sounds of birds too , just try to absorb as much as you can. You dont have to be aware of it all the time, just notice its there.

      Morning: Write your morning dreams
Afternoon: Have a session of ada
      night: Try mild.

Its pretty simple, when you wake up to wild get out of your bed, go take a leak, drink water, look out your window, just stay up for about 5-10 minutes and it should solve the problem.

But its great, it seems your really sticking to you ADA , thats great it wont be long before you start seeing results

While really feeling that you're alive and not in zombie mode, think like: "This is how it feels to be awake." It's like one long RC really. You should do proper RC's once and a while aswell.

@Rudedudeowns I've had a bit of trouble with finding things i don't usually notice, because i don't notice them of course :p but i managed to find a few things such as hey! i'm actually wearing a watch and oh wow objects actually have shadows and stuff (if you can think of anything else we usually don't notice then feel free to post a list!). And as a matter of fact i NEARLY had a DILD after my first night of meditation. The problem there was, after noticing something out of the ordinary, i asked the dream person why her hair kept changing color but after getting no reply from her i just couldn't be arsed to keep pressing it, and thus wasting a DILD oppertunity :p. Also what do you suggest as "try mild"? because are there not like a lot of different ways to try that? And yeah i've heard of very neat results from ADA so after my exams pass (and the stress along with it) i'll be putting my full attention to ADA sessions during sweet sweet christmas holidays .

@Matte87 Sounds good, i usually question myself in ADA sessions with things like: what am i actually doing here? and how did i get here? and why do i consider this reality?, which i think sort of counts like an RC.

Well what you whanna do is notice things that are really weird in your dreams, for example in my dreams my behaviour is really diffrent than in my waking life, so in my ada sessions i also concentrate and question my behaviour alot, i think of the things ive done in they day, and if there normal or not, or whenever i talk ill ask myself "Is that a normal way you would respond to that situation?, is that a normal thing you would say?" things like that, but notice really anything, headlights of cars, your body, temperature, the way birds fly, really anything.

My advice is to not focus on the physical but if you can on the spiritual. For me, when I go to sleep, it feels like i realized that everyone is sleep, and that i am sleep, and wake up in the spiritual realm, (for me this is the dream realm.) You have to relax though and keep confidence and faith in your seeking ADA. Because it can drive you crazy if it spirals out of control and you can't control it. I feel like ADA is not easy but once mastered, to the point that you do it even when you dont want to, you'll realize that you yourself are sleep in dream because you'll feel disconnected from the world. Because ADA shows you how everything is connected.

I have been trying for a year, and ADA is what I will say I've been chasing after to be able to become lucid. I had my first lucid dream and the above is what best explains the way I became lucid, 2nd to the fact that my God and Lord Jesus Christ gave me this gift and allowed me to awake. All I can say is that confidence in key man, if you have confidence and faith then you will achieve. Don't become discouraged if it doesn't happen when you want though, you just gotta have patience.

@SteveLAG That sounds interesting, I will have to try it sometime. But yeah the thing I'm most worried about is if I'm doing ADA right. I'm assuming I do though. How long did it take for you guys to achieve first true results from ADA? I know it says nothing about how much I'll be training but still, I'm curious :p
