1.My first question is about that sleep paralysis thing? i think i tried doing last night.. is it where you sleep on your back and your body feels weird and you start lucid dreaming? i spent about an hour trying to sleep face up last night.
Sleep Paralysis is the state where you transition from waking life into dream life. While in this state, you'll experience Hypnagogic Hallucinations. This hallucinations will take the form of almost any elements that might engage your senses. It might come in the form of scary visuals, buzzy sounds and the like. Sleeping face up isn't really important if you want to achieve SP. What matters is you should be in the sleeping position where you are most comfortable with or the sleeping position you often fall asleep with.
2.My second question is about realizing your in a dream and then it becomes lucid. i've only had one lucid dream and i had it because i realized i was in another state that i wasn't supposed to be. well i had a dream last night that i was with my sister and my mom and they both live in florida. i also told myself that they live in florida and that i live in north carolina. i still didn't realize i was dreaming. i find this very weird..
It's natural to be unaware that you're dreaming even if the dream scenario is really, undeniably weird. During sleep, the way you reason or use logic, is hindered. So I suggest you make it a habit to ask yourself, at random parts of the day, wether you're dreaming or not.
3.does smoking marijuanna before sleep or going to sleep high induce dreaming? or does it help you lucid dream?
I don't really know anything about the effects of weed to lucid dreaming.
4.I also want to ask if dreaming.. i don't know how to put this but let me explain. when i was young i used to have very scary dreams. i used to have one dream in particular that would always wake me up and i would be really scared. it would have to do with my phobia of hieghts. what would happen in the dream would be that i would be falling from a building for about 5 seconds and i would wake up before i even hit the ground. this has happened to me so many times i dont remember how many times it's happened. i can also remember how the building and area looked. then i got over my fright of hieghts and i got really scared that someone would break in the house. then i started having dreams about someone robbing the house. the same as the hieghts. each time they ended i would wake up and i would feel really weird. maybe dreams are so your ready for a situation if it ever happens..
Dreams have a lot of purposes. It's often used for meditation, entertainment, discovering more of yourself, spiritual enlightenment(?), real-life emulation and the like. So feel free to decode the mystery of dreaming.
Hope this helps
