      Dreams to real to LD?

Hey guys, I've been trying to LD for a couple weeks now and have not been successful. I can recall almost every night the dream I had. Most of my dreams are normal like im at work or Im hanging out, sometimes there will be the weird ones but most are normal. Here's my question, can a dream be to real that you can't notice anything to give you that snap to get conscience? I'm trying to do RCs during the day so maybe I do them in my dream.

Well if the dream is very realistic it reduces the chances of getting lucid but it never makes it impossible, it still can happen that you for example just snap out of it and realize it's a dream for no particular reason. With RC's you are pretty much on the right track, because as real as dreams are, if you happen to remember to search for flaws you will most likely find some. It can take some time till you get your first lucid but motivation is very important, believe you can have a lucid dream and you can.

And even IF your dreams were to realistic to snap out of it there are still other ways to have lucid dreams and to petentially fix that problem from within one of those lucid dreams, like WILDing. So in one way or another you definitely can have some lucid dreams.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]

You can still get lucid even if they are very ordinary. You just have to be aware and questioning.

I do RCs because I'm thinking about dreaming more often then I do because I see something strange.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

A dream can be realistic, but never enough to be so perfect you can't tell the difference between the dream and reality.

Yes, the hand RC where you could your fingers can fail. Also the clock RC has failed me once before. But reality checks like the nose plug can never fail.

Deroach thats why we're here. To learn to tell the difference between those "maybe" dreams and reality. You'll get the hang of it!

      Good luck!

That's what I thought was the reason holding me back at first, but there is a distinct feeling about a dream and being able to spot out what's wrong which is hard to come by. I suggest you try as hard as you can to get a few lucids under your belt and it will become much easier after that!

I have the same problem but sometimes I randomly "know" that Im dreaming at certain times. Also I do WILDs because then I can directly enter a dream.

Well, there is no reason anyone should have trouble telling a dream from reality. If you can't, you just need to keep practicing reality checks and persisting with your interest in lucid dreaming.

Yes exactly, WILDs are always an option as you say.

They are usually better. Stronger lucidity, more vivid, and you are more likely to get a longer and more fulfilling dream as you aren't wasting any time building up to a DILD.

Just make sure that when you WILD that you combine it with WBTB or else the dream (if you even enter one after 1 hour usually) will be pretty crappy, as in stabilization and quality.

The more time and attention you'll give your dreams, the more strange and interesting they'll become over time. But for now, just keep RCing during the day. The good thing here is that you can just RC at normal daily objects and activities and it will eventually help you get lucid since your dreams are similar to your waking life. Good luck.
